Die sets for straight wall cases consist of three separate dies to address the need for multiple steps in the reloading process. This is because resizing straight wall cases and expanding the neck for proper bullet fit cannot be accomplished in one single operation. The full-length (FL) resizing die includes a decapping rod assembly, which removes the spent primer from the case. The expander die (EXP) contains a neck expanding plug, which ensures the correct diameter of the case neck for proper bullet seating. Finally, the seating die (ST) features a bullet guide, a built-in crimp ring and the correct seating plug to securely position and crimp the bullet into place. These dies work together to ensure a precise and reliable reloading process for straight wall cases.
