Designed specifically for use with Midwest Industries AK Alpha Series handguards (MI-AK-ALPHA6, MI-AK-ALPHA10.0), this Alpha Series Railed Top Cover delivers a precision-fit upgrade to enhance optics mounting while maintaining AK reliability. It is not compatible with other Midwest Industries generations or products from other manufacturers.This system uses patented components to deliver a dependable return-to-zero solution for AK platforms. An adjustable locking block allows compatibility with most AK rifles, while two aluminum and two steel stability struts ensure an exceptionally rigid lock-up. The design effectively seals out dust and debris during operation and includes a custom recoil spring button made specifically for the Alpha Series system.The top cover allows for a lower 1/3 cowitness sight picture with the factory rear sight intact, and it requires no permanent modifications, allowing the firearm to be restored to factory configuration if needed.Compatibility Note:The included recoil spring button fits most AKM models with a rear trunnion width up to .440. Rifles with a .460 trunnion width will require a custom oversized button for proper fitment. When ordering, include a note if a wider trunnion is present to ensure the correct part is provided.
