For shooters preferring a clean appearance while improving grip with heavy-recoiling .45-70 Government rounds, the ELG hand guard is compatible with both Type 1 and Type 2 Magpul rail covers. It also integrates a front-mounted hand stop for added control. It's important to note that the ELG hand guard is specifically designed for Marlin 1895-pattern rifles with a hand guard retaining cap.
