Lockdown 18-Inch Gun Safe Dehumidifier Rod, 18" 222010

Help protect firearms, optics, ammunition, documents, and other valuables from damaging moisture with the Lockdown 18-Inch Dehumidifier Rod. Designed for gun safes, storage cabinets, and other enclosed spaces, this electric dehumidifier rod helps reduce humidity, condensation, and mildew by gently warming the surrounding air and promoting continuous circulation. The 18-inch model is rated for enclosed spaces up to approximately 200 cubic feet, making it a practical choice for larger gun safes and storage areas. Unlike rechargeable desiccant units, the Dehumidifier Rod operates continuously when connected to AC power, helping maintain a more stable environment around stored equipment. For best performance, Lockdown recommends installing the rod horizontally near the lowest point inside the safe. As the rod gently warms the air, the warmer air rises and circulates throughout the enclosure, helping minimize conditions that can contribute to rust, corrosion, mildew, and condensation. The included mounting brackets simplify installation, while the easy-install plug attachment makes it easier to route the power cord through compatible safe openings before attaching the plug. The unit is designed for 110/220V AC compatibility, providing a straightforward, low-maintenance solution for ongoing moisture control.
