Katadyn BeFree AC 1.0L Filter System is a compact, dual-stage water filtration solution engineered for both outdoor and everyday use. The system integrates a durable, double-layer soft flask with a hollow fiber EZ-Clean Membrane rated at 0.1 micron for effective removal of bacteria and protozoa. A secondary activated carbon stage reduces chemicals and improves taste and odor when required, allowing configurable filtration based on source conditions. The unit delivers a flow rate of up to 2 liters per minute, supporting rapid hydration without pumping.The 1.0-liter reservoir is lightweight, collapsible, and designed for portability, with an integrated handle for carrying or attachment to gear. A rugged flip cap prevents leakage during transport and active use. The EZ-Clean Membrane supports tool-free maintenance by shaking or swishing in water to remove debris and maintain flow performance. The activated carbon component can be omitted for clean alpine sources or included to improve treated or chlorinated water taste.
