Forward Controls Design ABC/R v3 FB 5.56 Bolt Catch /Release Serrated, Forward Biased Paddle - ABC/R v3 FB Serrated

The Forward Controls Design ABC/R v3 FB Augmented Bolt Catch/Release is designed to improve access, control, and tactile feedback on compatible 5.56mm AR-15 and M16 lower receivers. The ABC/R uses enlarged, angled paddles with increased surface area, making the bolt catch and release easier to locate and operate than a standard mil-spec control. This FB Forward Biased version shifts the upper paddle forward, creating additional clearance and easier access on receivers equipped with certain ambidextrous magazine releases. The serrated control surfaces add traction, while ledges at the upper and lower paddles further improve purchase during manipulation. Forward Controls Design developed the ABC/R specifically for TDP-spec AR-15/M16 receivers chambered in 5.56mm. The design is intended to work especially well with ambidextrous magazine catches by addressing the reduced access to a traditional bolt catch lower paddle that can occur with some ambidextrous controls. The ABC/R v3 also incorporates reliability and compatibility refinements developed from earlier generations, including changes to the paddle geometry and magazine-follower engagement. It is not recommended for 9mm PCC receivers because bolt catch dimensions and operating geometry can vary significantly between PCC designs.
