Building on the success of our match and tactical scope mounts, we designed the Hunt rings to be lightweight, rigid and capable of securely holding an optic in environments with significant recoil. Achieving this was a complex manufacturing challenge. Our solution involved developing a process that results in final-bore matched rings with raw aluminum internals, providing a grip on your optic that is exceptionally reliable and precise. Unlike typical rings, which are often produced as separate components, anodized and then assembled, our approach involves additional meticulous steps. After anodization, the parts are fully assembled and placed into specially designed rail fixtures. The caps are torqued to specification over custom-made spacers, allowing the rings to properly secure the optic. They are then final-bored as sets in our state-of-the-art machining centers. The rings are removed from the machine in matched sets and packaged together, ensuring that each pair is perfectly aligned and dependable for long-term use.
