The Geissele suppressor alignment gage (SAG) is a precision tool crafted to ensure the proper alignment of a suppressor with the bore of a firearm barrel. It is important to understand that the suppressor's length generally surpasses that of the barrel, muzzle device and suppressor interface geometry. Even a slight misalignment at the mounting interface can lead to a much larger deviation at the suppressor's exit point. These misalignments can accumulate, worsening the suppressor's overall alignment. The Geissele SAG is made from hardened steel and is ground to 0.002 inches below the nominal bore diameter. Its outer diameter is carefully finished, maintaining straightness to within 0.001 inches along its entire length.
