The Federal Rob Roberts Raptor is a premium steel waterfowl load built around the input of competitive waterfowl hunter Rob Roberts. This 12 gauge 3" shell throws 1-3/8 ounces of #3 steel shot, giving you enough payload density to fold ducks and geese at practical decoy range without the punishing recoil of 3.5" magnums. The Raptor line uses Federal's FliteControl Flex wad system for tight, consistent patterns out of both ported and standard chokes.#3 steel is a strong all-around choice for mid size waterfowl. The pellets carry enough energy for clean kills on mallards and similar ducks at 30 to 40 yards while giving you a higher pellet count than larger shot sizes.
